Capital Health's Trenton Neighborhood Initiative Scholarship can provide funding to help you pursue an education either in short-term credentialing programs or a health-related Associate Degree, such as:

Health Related Associate Degree (Credit)

  • Radiography (Associate Degree)
  • Medical Laboratory Technology (Associate Degree)
  • Public Health (Associate Degree)
  • Medical Laboratory Assistant (Certificate of Proficiency)

  • Physical Therapist Assistant

Credentialing Programs (Non-credit)

Capital Health is working with Trenton Health Team and other area partners to develop, fund, and execute these initiatives.

Capital Health’s Trenton Neighborhood Initiative (TNI), developed in partnership with Trenton Health Team, recognizes the importance of helping address the social determinants of health for residents and will deliver solutions that complement the healthcare services Capital Health provides. Specifically, Trenton Neighborhood Initiative is focusing on programs supporting home ownership and rehabilitation, job training and employment, digital equity, and healthy beginnings to support the needs of new moms and their families.

Mercer County Community College is a comprehensive, publicly supported two-year institution focused on learning and student success. The college welcomes students of all ages from a wide variety of backgrounds, abilities, interests, levels of education, and economic circumstances to a challenging and supportive environment dedicated to meeting the educational needs of 21st century global citizens and lifelong learners.
